Heavy Metal Hell

Each band has their own individual sound obviously, but one of the cool ways they showcase it is when covering other artists work. Now, with that said sometimes it can be hit or miss... awesome bands have done bad covers. (that's a separate list for a different time.) but when it's good, you get some pretty bad ass results. Here are some of my personal favorite metal covers. (note: these are not in any particular order, also I'm excluding instrumentals from this list for a future post) 1. Death - Painkiller (Judas Priest)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quPliK3eAy4 The final track on the band's last album, this is a phenomenal cover. we actually get to hear Chuck's clean vocals towards the end of the song. (the intro alone lets you know it's going to be epic.) 2. Ghost - Here Comes The Sun (The Beatles)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OUWgxu7xng Say what you want about Ghost, but you can't deny the fact that they have pretty talented musicians...

It's been forever since I've updated, and this blog had pretty much died. But fear not, I have returned and decided to revive my passion. I've had some crazy times in my personal life, pretty drastic and tragic events which kept me away from here, but now things are some what stable and I am back in full force.  Moving forward... As well as album reviews, I plan on adding new content such as more interviews, concert reviews, a "band of the week" feature as well as your typical gossip and information about upcoming releases and of course, my random lists. I hope to gain a following and hopefully turn some people on to new (and old) bands, and fulfill my main goal of keeping metal alive. until next time! \m/
